Qantas cancels orders for 15 Boeing 787s

Australia’s Qantas Airways Ltd. said Friday it had canceled orders for 15 Boeing 787s and delayed the delivery of a further 15 aircraft due to turbulent market conditions.


NYC service could change Southwest Airlines

Dreamliner delays may be boon for Airbus

Boeing said June 23 that it will delay the maiden flight of its new Dreamliner 787 aircraft, shown here in production. It's the latest postponement to hit the project. The flight had been due to take place on June 30, but Boeing said it was now delayed to reinforce a side section of the plane.Boeing’s fresh delay for its long-awaited Dreamliner — its sixth in two years — could not come at a worse time for the planemaker.  The delays are forcing some carriers further into the arms of Airbus.
